Samsung latest news, Company had previously announced that it will hire 2,500 engineers by 2020, has already onboarded 1,000 engineers each in 2017 and 2018.
The South Korean giant Samsung had hired 1,000 engineers last year from top engineering colleges including IITs, NITs and IIIT, giving a thrust to New-Age domains like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Machine Learning (ML), biometrics, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Augmented Reality (AR) and networks including 5G.
Samsung latest news: Which Streams and domains will be hired?
The company will hire students from multiple streams including Computer Science, Electronics and Communications, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computing, Instrumentation and Information Technology.
The new employees will have to work on future technologies and domains such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Image Processing, Middleware Development, Cloud, IoT, Recognition systems, Data analysis, On-Device AI, Mobile Communications, Networks, Imaging, Voice, VLSI and UI/UX.
Samsung latest news: Is hiring started?
As in November had announced to start hiring from December 1 when the three R&D centres of Samsung in Bengaluru, Noida and Delhi. But due to the effect of COVID-19, it seems that Samsung also has slow down its hiring process, which is Samsung latest news.
“In December 2017, we spoke about our commitment to hiring 2,500 engineers in India by 2020. We hired 1,000 engineers in 2018 and we are set to hire 1,200-plus engineers in 2019. Samsung India is well on track to meet the commitment it made,” Sameer Wadhawan, Head, Human Resources (HR), Samsung India, told IANS.
He also added, “Overall we have more than 70,000 people working at present and if we talk specifically about R&D centres, we have close to 9,000 people working at our three R&D centres”.
