As many companies are struggling to align their business operations with the ‘new normal’ post this pandemic. To overcome this drastic situation almost every Industry whose employees can work remotely, started the work from home culture.
Some of the companies including Tech Mahindra has decided that there some amount of the company’s employees will be permanently working from home even after the lockdown lifts.
Tech Mahindra CFO Manoj Bhat told Business Insider that at least 25% to 30% of the company’s employees will be permanently working from home. “This will mean change in policies, change in our facilities, creating a new model to attract talent — all of those changes will come in,” he said.
He also said, “If we can manage to work from home for a relatively long period, eventually we will have margin levers also emerging”.
And, Tech Mahindra plans to hit that number within the next four quarters. “Maybe by March or June next year,” added Bhat.
