TCS CodeVita 2020 – How To Apply, Exam Pattern & Eligibility Criteria
TCS CodeVita 2020, is a contest for engineering and science students to experience the joy of coding and to sharpen their programming skills through real-life computing practices. The contest also aims at identifying the talent, besides providing the student community, an opportunity to earn peer recognition.
Indeed, for computer science enthusiasts, coding is no less than an adventurous sport where they deal with a lot of challenges and excitement. And with the same concern, Tata Consultancy Services is also encouraging the Programming as a Sports culture with its most renowned coding competition – TCS CodeVita 2020
More about CodeVita:
The first season of CodeVita was held in 2012 in India with an aim to spread awareness on the various applications and use of coding. This helped us spot bright programming talent. Encouraged by the good response we got from 2 domestic seasons, we decided to go global in 2014. In our very first global edition, we had 6 teams in the finals, thus strengthening our belief that now we can be truly global.
Season 8 saw over 2,30,000 registrations from over 89 countries across 3500+ institutes and the students used 8 programming languages. We had participants from 5 countries battling it out in the Grand finale!

Eligibility Criteria for TCS CodeVita 2020:
- UnderGraduates/PostGraduates related to Engineering & Science background in any domain are eligible.
- Students from institutes across India who are completing their academic program in the year 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024 are eligible for the CodeVita contest.
How to register for TCS CodeVita 2020?
Step 1: Log in to CodeVita Campus Commune portal Click here
Step 2: Click on Register button, if you are already registering with the Campus Commune portal CodeVita. Just enter your reference id and password.
Step 3: After the login process, you need to click on the ‘Confirm Registration’ link on the CodeVita Season 9 Page.
Step 4: After clicking on Confirm Registration and verifying your mobile number, you’ll be registered successfully for the CodeVita contest.
TCS CodeVita Exam Pattern & Important Topics”
The CodeVita TCS Exam 2020 contains 3 rounds. They are Pre qualifier round, qualifier round, and Grand Finale.
#1 Pre Qualifier Round:
In this round, there will be a 24 hours contest exam and each participant has 6 hours of time to solve their questions. Pre-Qualifier round is conducted in India as well as in the rest of the world individually. This time there will be two zonal rounds in India for Pre-Qualifier round. A candidate will be tagged to one of the two zonal rounds and they can choose any of the 6 hours to start your challenge. Programming languages available are: C, C++, C#, Java, PHP, Perl, Python, Ruby

- Ends On: July 25, 2020, 09:30 UTC
#2 Qualifier Round:
This season Qualifier Round which is around 2. It happens just after the completion of all the Pre-Qualifier rounds across the world. Top performers from the zonal rounds globally will move into these round remaining candidates who did not. Each participant will be provided with 6 hours of time to solve questions & complete this round.

#3 Grand Finale:
This round will be held in one of the TCS offices in India. Top 3 contestants will be declared as winners of the CodeVita exam.

- Starts from: February 17, 2021, 03:30 UTC
- Ends On: February 17, 2021, 12:30 UTC
